Heal with Lynne

Lynne Protain, Registered Psychotherapist

Therapy for women who look like they’re holding it together while carrying too much underneath

For women feeling burnt out, overwhelmed, emotionally worn down, or shaped by long-standing stress, family dynamics, and the pressure of carrying too much for too long.

You may be looking for this kind of support if...

  • you feel emotionally worn down, overwhelmed, or stretched too thin

  • you are often the one holding things together for everyone else

  • old family dynamics, relationship patterns, self-doubt, or over-responsibility continue to affect your life

  • you want therapy that goes deeper than short-term coping and helps you understand what keeps repeating

  • you are looking for a warm, thoughtful, steady place to begin making meaningful change

My approach is especially supportive for women who want more than temporary relief and are looking for deeper, thoughtful support.

A little about how I work

I’m Lynne Protain, a Registered Psychotherapist and Certified Mindfulness and MBSR teacher.

My approach is warm, thoughtful, trauma-informed, depth-oriented and grounded in helping women make sense of what they carry internally and in their relationships.

Ways to Work with Me

I am based in Toronto and primarily offer individual therapy for women across Ontario. Couples therapy is also available.

  • Support for women navigating burnout, chronic stress, family-of-origin patterns, health challenges, and the emotional impact of carrying too much for too long.

  • Support for couples feeling stuck in repeating patterns, disconnection, or communication difficulties.

You may be used to holding a great deal on your own.

Over time, that can start to feel like emotional exhaustion, self-doubt, strained relationships, old patterns repeating, or a growing sense that you have lost touch with yourself.

Therapy offers a space to slow down, understand what has been shaping your experience, and begin creating meaningful change with steadiness and care.
